Uncovering our deeper selves.
Every day we learn something new that can help us become the people we want to be. When we face problems, we often already have insights that can help guide us. I will work to create a safe and supportive environment where we can begin to explore your unique situation. By talking about things that we have left unspoken, that have been hard to deal with, or that we have rejected, we can access our inner wisdom. Speaking with a counsellor can allow you to reconnect with resources and develop goals to move towards your preferred life.
I am A Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I completed a Master of Counselling at Athabasca University. specializing in Art Therapy in partnership with the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. I trained in single-session therapy and expressive therapies and worked with individuals, couples, and families.
Areas of particular professional and personal interest for me include support for persons with chronic illness and support for caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder. LGBTQ2S= folks and anyone working with issues around gender or sexuality are welcome.
I am affiliated with Cloverdale Counselling, which offers art therapy groups such as the exciting Learn to Love Your Body body mapping group.
